Have To, Need To, Want To

The soul distinguishes between these three types of “opportunities” and classifies and prioritizes by them. They are all in competition for our time and thereby our life. They are the subtle masters of what we choose to do.

Have to – That which I must do in order to avoid pain and loss or to gain pleasure and reward. Need to – Not as pressing as have to but offer some reward or pain avoidance. Want to – this the most important to the lost or carnal man. This is pure self-indulgence, often the highest goal and priority for our time.

In the economy of the spiritual man, have to, need to and want to become one and create a sense of peace an contentment because all I have to, need to and want to do is my Father’s will.
