Herein Is My Father Glorified – Part 1

“Herein is my Father glorified, that ye bear much fruit; so shall ye be my disciples.” John 15:8

The thing that all Creation waits for is to see God in Christ in you — the hope of Glory. “For the earnest expectation of the creature waiteth for the manifestation of the sons of God.” Rom. 8:19.

God is hidden in Christ, in you. The revealing of God, by the revealing of Christ in you is whereby “my Father is glorified.”

I have said before and it will always bear repeating. There is none good, not one.

Psalms 14:1: The fool hath said in his heart, There is no God. They are corrupt, they have done abominable works, there is none that doeth good.

Psalms 14:3: They are all gone aside, they are all together become filthy: there is none that doeth good, no, not one.

Psalms 53:1: The fool hath said in his heart, There is no God. Corrupt are they, and have done abominable iniquity: there is none that doeth good.

Psalms 53:3: Every one of them is gone back: they are altogether become filthy; there is none that doeth good, no, not one.

Romans 3:12: They are all gone out of the way, they are together become unprofitable; there is none that doeth good, no, not one.

This is with one exception. There is none good but God.

Matthew 19:17: And he said unto him, Why callest thou me good? there is none good but one, that is, God.

Mark 10:18: And Jesus said unto him, Why callest thou me good? there is none good but one, that is, God.

Luke 18:19: And Jesus said unto him, Why callest thou me good? none is good, save one, that is, God.

So what about all those good things we do? We don’t do good things, we can’t do good things.

Isaiah 64:6: But we are all as an unclean thing, and all our righteousnesses are as filthy rags.

That stinks — literally. Here is what we all need to understand about this. Good is to be had in executing the purpose for which you are created. And we are created to glorify God. If a saw cannot cut the material it is supposed to, then it is not good. And we so often to do not cut it. We do not make the cut.

Only Christ makes the cut. Only in Him can we be Good. It is Him operating through us that accomplishes good works. And it is those works of Christ operating and accomplishing God’s will through me that glorify God.

Matthew 5:16: Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.

“Herein is my Father glorified, that ye bear much fruit; so shall ye be my disciples.” John 15:8
