Herein Is My Father Glorified – Part 2

Just as a person or a thing is only “Good” when it is operating and performing according to the design for which it was created, in a similar way the glory of a person or thing is that its intrinsic worth answers perfectly to all that is expected of it.

When the intrinsic or God-given worth is hidden, the glory is veiled and not known completely by those who behold it and handle it.

The act of glorifying is performing those things which reveal the intrinsic value that was bestowed at creation. It is a revealing of the full worth and perfection of the object (or person) so that its glory is acknowledged by all.

The goodness and glory of God was kept a mystery for ages until God came to reveal Himself in the Person of Jesus Christ. Before this, “No man hath seen God at any time; the only begotten Son, which is in the bosom of the Father, he hath declared him.” John 1:18.

“Jesus saith unto him, Have I been so long time with you, and yet hast thou not known me, Philip? he that hath seen me hath seen the Father; and how sayest thou then, Shew us the Father?” John 14:9.

The question is, “Have you seen Jesus?” I am not talking about in your mind, nor in your intellect, nor in your heart, nor in your worship, but in your spirit. Has God revealed Himself to you? Only if you seek Him will you see the Son. Only if you seek Him will you see the Father.

“And Simon Peter answered and said, Thou art the Christ, the Son of the living God. And Jesus answered and said unto him, Blessed art thou, Simon Bar–jona: for flesh and blood hath not revealed it unto thee, but my Father which is in heaven.” Matt. 16:16-17.

God only reveals Himself to those who sincerely and passionately seek Him. Makes sense even doesn’t it? “And ye shall seek me, and find me, when ye shall search for me with all your heart.” Jer. 29:13. “For the eyes of the LORD run to and fro throughout the whole earth, to shew himself strong in the behalf of them whose heart is perfect toward him.” 2 Chron. 16:9.

God is looking everywhere to find persons to reveal Himself to. And He reveals Himself to those who are wanting a relationship with Him, who have turned their heart toward Him.

Jesus came to show us the Father. The Holy Spirt came to reveal the Son. “But when the Comforter is come, whom I will send unto you from the Father, even the Spirit of truth, which proceedeth from the Father, he shall testify of me.” John 15:26.

Now as we, by the yielding of our Self to God as spiritual sacrifices allow, yes allow, God to be revealed in us, then He, the Spirit, will testify of Christ, glorifying Him and He, the Christ, will testify and bear witness to Him, the Father.

This is letting, allowing; “Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.” This is what everyone and everything is waiting for — the consummation of the Covenant — the manifestation of God’s glory through His sons.

“For the earnest expectation of the creature waiteth for the manifestation of the sons of God.” Rom. 8:19.
