Because She “Felt” Like It Was True

Feelings are all but useless when determining Truth. They are very often the heart-string that Satan uses to pull you over to his way of thinking (i.e. lies) and that bring about your fall.

Eve did not eat the fruit out of a heart of rebellion, she was deceived. She ate because of allowing false thoughts to enter, which in turn led to inaccurate, untruthful feelings.

Eve saw the fruit, that it was good. This was a self-determination. God had already told her not to eat of it, yet her Self looked on it longingly, lustingly and evaluated that it was good.

She wanted the fruit that God told her she could not eat without dire consequence. All it took was a desire for the forbidden to open the conversation with the serpent. Just want, study and covet something, especially the wrong thing, and you open the door for evil thoughts.

Satan perceived her desire, he noticed what she kept looking at, mulling over. She became easy prey to him. All he had to do was twist the intent of her Father’s heart in her mind and the rest is history, herstory… ourstory.

She wanted the fruit, now she just needed a reason, a justification to do what she already decided she wanted to do. “Hath God said?… For He knows… you will be like Him”, She was already window shopping to see what Self wanted.

Have you ever bought something you didn’t really need or even want just because you thought you wanted something, only to regret later the impulsive purchase? We all have. We often pay too much for these things — buyers remorse originated in the Garden.

Its all in the merchandising and presentation of the seller. We become an easy target when we allow discontentment to enter our hearts, not trusting God, that what He provides is sufficient. Without desire, without the lust of the eyes, Satan has little to work with. Dead people, those dead to their Self, don’t want or need anything when they walk past the display windows. It is your desire, your own heart, that makes you an impulsive buyer and an easy target.

So here is how to divide a child from their loving Father: place something before their eyes and elicit their desire. There is an arsenal to choose from (material things, pleasure, security, popularity, beauty, comfort, power, and many more).

Now whoever offers these to you, is an enemy of your Father yet you befriend him and trust him because they want what you want (at least seemingly on the surface). Essentially wanting and pursuing what you should not have is wanting to be like God, to have no authority, or rule, or morality, or conscience, or law to stop you from serving Self.

So here is the twist – you trust your new “friend” because he wants you to have what you want, you don’t trust your Father because he withholds something you want. Now come the feelings that always follow the thoughts.

The evil one help here, “He doesn’t want you to have it because He doesn’t love you.” You equate denial of anything you want as grounds for rejection. To make it worse, you project the rejection to the one who withheld (out of love) as being unloving and untrustworthy. Pretty good twist, huh?

There it is, the oldest trick in the Book. Feed your unrighteous desire till the flame of passion to have and to hold is raging, then bring thoughts about the One who is keeping you from burning yourself severely with a smooth and beguiling tongue thus setting the stage to lead you to the conclusion from your thoughts and feelings to the conclusion — “He doesn’t love me or He wouldn’t deny me what I want.”

There is not a bigger lie in all time. Love always protects (1 Cor. 13).

Eve became an accomplice in the killing of her relationship with her Father. The lie is that you know what you need — you don’t! Witness all the people who make all the wrong choices in the world. “Be not ye therefore like unto them: for your Father knoweth what things ye have need of, before ye ask him.” Matt. 6:8.

You, by your Self, led you astray and sinned (killed, brought to death, you relationship with your heavenly Father) by acting independently (or at least you thought so) and asserting your Self-will above His Love-will for you.

“Let no man say when he is tempted, I am tempted of God [My Father]: for God cannot be tempted with evil, neither tempteth he any man: But every man is tempted, when he is drawn away of his own lust, and enticed. Then when lust hath conceived, it bringeth forth sin: and sin, when it is finished, bringeth forth death. Do not err, my beloved brethren. Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning.” James 1:13-17.

Now, who was the unloving party? This is called rejection projection – Satan’s oldest trick to divide you from your Father.

No, Eve, and a million billion children since have bought this lie, that your father (Heavenly or earthly)) doesn’t love you because He does not submit to your will, he does not give you what you want. You have set up a justification to act independently and maintain separation from the heart of your Father on the basis that He doesn’t love you and therefore cannot be trusted or approached.

You, yes you!, have rejected your Father. He has not rejected you! This is rejection projection. Eve did it because she “felt” like it was right (lies have an uncanny way of doing that). You did it too, because you “felt” like it. It is the biggest, oldest lie.

So the Good Guy becomes the Bad Guy and the Bad Guy becomes the Good Guy.

“Woe unto them that call evil good, and good evil; that put darkness for light, and light for darkness; that put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter!” Isa. 5:20.

“Then said Jesus, Father, forgive them; for they know not what they do.” Luke 23:32.

“O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, which killest the prophets, and stonest them that are sent unto thee; how often would I have gathered thy children together, as a hen doth gather her brood under her wings, and ye would not! Behold, your house is left unto you desolate: and verily I say unto you, Ye shall not see me, until the time come when ye shall say, Blessed is he that cometh in the name of the Lord.” Luke 13:34-35.

God is working in the earth today through the agency of spiritual fathers and spiritual sons to restore the relationship that was lost in the Garden.

“And he shall turn the heart of the fathers to the children, and the heart of the children to their fathers, lest I come and smite the earth with a curse.” Malachi 4:6.
